The staff and principals of Historic Resources Group have developed close
working relationships with the personnel in the California State Office of
Historic Preservation. As the State Historic Preservation Officer
Representative from 1994 to 1996, the firm functioned as an extension of the
State Office of Historic preservation for purposed of earthquake recovery.
Christy McAvoy has maintained contacts with supervisors in the State Office for
almost twenty years. She has participated in State planning exercises and
demonstration projects.
As one of the state's largest preparers of
tax credit
projects, Historic
Resources Group is in constant consultation with the staffs of the California
State Office of Historic Preservation, the National Park Service, HUD, and
others in the interpretation of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards.
