Union Station
Historic Resources Group assisted Catellus Development and its project team in the phased rehabilitation of Union Station. The firm prepared the Historic Preservation Certification Application and assisted architects and staff in developing a program for conformance with the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for Rehabilitation. In addition, HRG prepared the cultural resource component of an environmental impact report for the Union Station/Terminal Annex Master Plan, identifying character-defining features of both sites and the impacts of proposed new construction on each. Principals of the firm worked closely with various city departments, permitting agencies, historic preservation groups and the general public to ensure full participation in the process and compliance with the provisions of the California Environmental Quality act relating to historic preservation
