St. Vincent De Paul Church

Historic Resources Group recently completed a Historic Structure Report for St. Vincent de Paul Church, a City of Los Angeles Historic Cultural Landmark that was originally commissioned by Edward and Carrie Doheny. This report documented the history of the 1925 structure, the existing conditions of the character defining features, and recommendations for treatment and maintenance. Modeled after the St. Prisca Church in Taxco, Mexico, St. Vincent de Paul is an excellent example of the Churrigueresque style and has a large and active congregation and clergy concerned with preserving the monument for continued use. The project was commissioned by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese and assisted by grants from the Getty Grant Preserve LA Program and the Carrie Estelle Doheny Foundation.
