Section 106 Review & Compliance
Historic Resources Group has a proven record of successful
review and compliance projects
under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation
Act. With over 3000 undertakings reviewed, we have the expertise to perform all aspects of the
Section 106 Review
process. Historic Resources Group was a concurring party to the 1995
Programmatic Agreement
that streamlined Section 106 review for the City of Los Angeles. HRG conducted Section 106 review for the City for thirteen years, eleven of which were under the Programmatic Agreement.
During our years of service under the
Programmatic Agreement, Historic Resources Group completed Section 106
Reviews for over 1500 projects for the Los Angeles Community Development
Department and the Los Angeles Housing Department as well as the Community Redevelopment Agency, the Bureau of Engineering and the
Los Angeles Housing Authority. In addition, the firm has worked with the Metropolitan
Transportation Authority, the City of Santa Monica, the Los Angeles Department of Water and
Power and other public agencies.
Historic Resources Group was designated as acting State Historic Preservation
Officer (SHPO) for undertakings related to the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, and,
in consultation with FEMA, the SHPO and local applicants, the firm expedited over 1000
determinations of eligibility and several hundred findings of effect.
