Historic Structure Reports:
The Gamble House
The core of an
Historic
Structure Report is thorough knowledge of character-defining features and existing conditions.
It can also include a
rehabilitation and maintenance
plan, a construction history,
as well as other types of data. Historic Resources Group has prepared
Historic Structure Reports for two National Historic Landmarks, the Gamble House and the Rose
Bowl in Pasadena and for several structures in the El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument
(Los Angeles Plaza National Register Historic
District). Historic Resources Group completed a state-of-the-art computer-based historic
structure report for the Gamble House.
Supported by a grant from the J. Paul Getty Trust, this effort serves as a model for
interactive digital maintenance plans
at other facilities, and supports the use of new technologies in historic preservation in the
twenty-first century.
