GUARANTY BUILDING

This Beaux Arts office building was
another of the Boulevard's bank and office towers. It is
faced with brick and has a detailed lobby entrance.
Famous columnist Hedda Hopper hung her hat at the
Guaranty Building.

KNICKERBOCKER HOTEL
1714 N. Ivar Avenue
(E.M. Frasier, architect; 1923)
This building was designed in the
Renaissance Revival/Beaux Arts style as a luxury
apartment building. Its Lido Room was host to many
parties for Hollywood stars. It later served as a hotel
and was returned to use as apartments for seniors in the
1970s.

Another Streamline Moderne structure,
this building has round windows and some of the elements
of an ocean liner.

The noted theater architect designed
this International style structure for a show store.
