The newly restored Egyptian Theatre officially opened in December of 1998. The permanent home of the American Cinematheque, the Egyptian Theatre regularly features programs that appeal to many sectors of the movie-going public. The Cinematheque prides itself on screening films that other theaters and organizations do not or are unable to screen.
